Why CIALIS is the medication prescribed?

MECHANISM OF ACTION

What special precautions should I follow?

CIALIS PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION INTERACTION

Several potent drug interactions have been noted with Cialis. For example common antacids containing magnesium hydroxide, aluminium hydroxide if taken with Cialis affects the absorption of Cialis in the body. Increase in gastric ph occurs when nizatidine is given along with Cialis. Cialis augments the blood pressure lowering effects of nitrates. In general, plasma concentration of Cialis is reduced by taking any of the following drugs namely, rifampin, phenobarb,phenytoin, and carbamazepine. The interaction of Cialis with amprenavir could cause life threatening situations, and hence this combo should be used with extreme care. Do not take sildenafil citrate (Revatio) with Cialis.

Like all other medicines, Cialis may cause side effects. Some of the common side effects associated with Cialis are headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose. Of these side effects, usually back pain and muscle aches go away in a couple of days. However if these side effects persist, inform your doctor. Likewise some of the side effects could be serious and calls for immediate medical attention. Chest pain (as for example in the midst of sexual activity that could strain the heart), changes in vision (difficulty in seeing difference between blue and green) and a penile erection that lasts for more than 4 hours are reckoned as serious side effects.
